A place in the historical record.
Participation begins with the considered decision to document a history—and support the institution intended to preserve it for generations yet to come.
An undertaking of lasting significance.
Selected individuals and families may seek admission to commission substantial historical works documenting their lives, lineages, accomplishments and historical context. Each project is scoped individually, reflecting the available evidence and the character of the history to be researched.
The commission supports research, interviews, editorial development, archival production and the proposed accession of the finished volume into the Library's collection.
Ongoing membership may support additional research and stewardship services. The institution's ultimate preservation duty, however, must be designed around dedicated resources and long-term custodial arrangements—not dependent indefinitely on a family's continuing subscription.

To help establish the institution itself.
There is a distinction between joining an existing institution and contributing to the creation of one intended to endure.
Founding participants may support the institution's research infrastructure, collection development, preservation funding and future custodial framework. Their contributions to its founding may themselves become part of the documented institutional history.
Participation terms, privileges and any recognition arrangements remain to be developed. No ceremonial status or guaranteed historical distinction is for sale.
